We had a lovely getaway to Quebec City last week where we explored, lounged and ate lots of yummy food, and reconnected with my cousin from Calgary. We had a blast! My parents met in Quebec City where they both taught English at the Citadel in the early to mid 60s. My mom lived with a French Canadian family and we used to go visit every summer when I was growing up. I hadn’t been back in about 30 years and it was just as I remembered it–scenic, charming, hilly and beautiful. Here’s a view of the Chateau Frontenac from the edge of the Citadel. Such a marvelous vista!
