When the world around us is so tragic and heart-wrenching, we seek beauty and we paint. Mother nature keeps showing up and so will we. Here is a sibling set of the sunrise I witnessed on Thursday morning, the morning after the Lewiston, Maine, shootings. It was stunning. I cried.
We pray for the victims and all of their loved ones, for the people who witnessed the unimaginable, and for a community and state torn apart by this senseless act of terror.
Lewiston Auburn is my partner’s hometown. Two of her brother’s and their families live there and much of her extended family live there. All of our family celebrations are spent there. We are still processing this horrific act and are sending our love out to ALL of you. May we find peace in a beautiful moment in nature and love and healing in one another.
